The motive, once observed and later transformed by the painter's creative imagination acquires the meaning of the world–order formula. The eternal circle, formed by the reindeers' bodies, protects a white she–reindeer with her new-born baby in the centre. Her beauty is associated with pagan mythological northern Goddess – Great Mother (probably Zarni Ań?), the Mistress of the Universe. Capacious, semantically filled composition calls up the images of the Permian animal style. |
